Monica is a Law Clerk at Hudson Martin PC supporting the litigation and transactional teams. She has been admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office since 2007 and licensed as any attorney in Texas since 2008. Her practice in Texas included handling intellectual property and commercial litigation matters, prosecuting patents and trademarks before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and serving as associate general counsel for a technology company. As associate general counsel, Monica handled a wide range of legal issues, including identifying and protecting the company’s intellectual property, performing M&A due diligence, handling human resources matters, researching regulatory matters, and negotiating contracts.
Prior to law school, Monica earned an engineering degree while also working as a year-round intern in a business-IT liaison group at Hewlett Packard. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center, and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from University of Portland, School of Engineering.
In her free time, Monica enjoys active adventures with her family such as traveling, hiking, snowboarding and exploring new cultures and food. She is also an active volunteer in her community.
